About the Event

ECDIS Training is Mandatory Under IMO Regulations

The International Maritime Organisation (IMO), through the STCW Convention (Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping), mandates that officers operating vessels equipped with ECDIS must undergo approved training. This ensures competence in using electronic navigational systems.

Different manufacturers (e.g., Transas, JRC, Furuno) design ECDIS systems with varying interfaces, this training course provides generic ECDIS training (conceptual understanding).

Safe Navigation

ECDIS replaces traditional paper charts, providing:

  1. Real-time position tracking
