About the Event

For many years now, “human error” has been identified as the most common contributing factor in accidents. These errors are often related to a lack of teamwork and communication, taking of risk, improper attitudes and unsafe company cultures. Stress, fatigue, complacency and failure to utilise available resources are other typical factors.

The good news is that it does not have to be like this. The current frequency of incidents and accidents is not a “natural part of shipping operations” and something we have to accept and live with. What is needed, however, is a cultural change.

Attendance can be online. However, in person attendance is preferred.
