Remote Access Capability at Fremantle Simulator

Updated: 3 days ago

The Fremantle Simulator is now equipped with live-streaming technology, enabling real-time remote viewing of simulation exercises. This service has been successfully used for pilot interviews, training sessions, and engineering exercises related to port development.

Clients can view live feeds from multiple perspectives, including the bridge, the conning display, and the vessel's position on the chart. This allows for real-time observation of vessel operations in new port environments—covering parameters such as heading, speed, engine telegraph settings, RPM, depth, wind speed and direction, rate of turn, and position.

Integrated video conferencing allows clients to interact directly with the bridge team and simulator facilitator throughout the exercise and participate in post-simulation debriefings.

The system has performed reliably and continues to support remote access needs effectively. Please contact FMSC to discuss how we can support your simulation requirements remotely.

Regards,

Capt. Rory Main
